This project features two distinct versions of the Alexmos board's casing, neither of which is compatible with its 32-bit version. The older model includes capacitors and right-angle motor connections, while source files in OpenSCAD format are available for both variants. An update from June 2014 enables slight customization for use on the QAV-500 by requiring notches on the sides of the case to accommodate its unique design. The placement of these notches depends on the orientation of the board, which is adjustable in the OpenSCAD file. For printing, PLA with a layer height of 0.25mm is recommended. Notably, the lower case bolt holes do not go all the way through to avoid the need for support due to hex nut indents on the bottom; simply use a 3mm drill bit to finish them off.
