Alexandru Mocioni (or Alexander Mocioni), born on November 4th, 1841, in Budapest, was a Romanian politician who started his career in the Hungarian Parliament at just 24 years old. He pushed for and supported the establishment of a National Party spanning Banat and Crisana, serving as its president for four months. As an advocate for Romanians' rights in Banat and Transilvania, he made significant strides. Mocioni also penned philosophical articles, including "National Consciousness," which appeared in the Almanac Academic Society's Vienna edition (1883), and "Religion and Science," published in Sibiu (1905). As a skilled pianist and composer of classical music, he crafted Pansées Fugitives for piano concerto in 1864, consisting of two notebooks with six songs and three sonatas.
