As part of the Alexandria, VA 18th Century Ship Project, a team meticulously laser scans each individual timber in high-definition and crafts 3D models, which are then used to reconstruct the ship with precision. This particular timber, FS 1, is the 5th second futtock, and each model on display has been scaled down to approximately 50% of its original resolution for detailed examination.
