Alexander Tiez, a dedicated educator, ethnographer, and writer of the German language in Romania, left an enduring legacy. On October 6th, 2004, a stunning bronze bust of Tiez was proudly unveiled at the newly constructed German Youth Centre in Bucharest, expertly crafted by local artist Horia Flamandu. The ceremony marked a momentous occasion as it was also attended by Professor Damian Fox, the last living descendant of Tiez, who graciously unveiled the tribute in Timisoara. This remarkable object is part of "Scan The World", an innovative non-profit initiative launched by MyMiniFactory to create a vast digital archive of fully 3D printable sculptures, artworks, and landmarks from around the globe.
