Alexa Echo Dot GEN v3 Mouse

I remixed this for a Gen3 Dot and would appreciate your thoughts, constructive criticism, or suggestions. This simple Echo Dot decoration is a re-mix of one of my v2 designs and is very easy to make because it only has three parts to print that can be printed without supports. It needs minimal finishing and can be used straight from the printer if printed in black PLA. This quick print is perfect for a gift. These parts are simple to assemble, with the ear featuring a tab that slots into the Echo Dot holder. Print two copies and slot them together. They have a slightly hollow face on the forward-facing side when mounted. Next, attach the outer Echo Dot holder to the base using lengths of filament. It's not fussy, as most mice aren't. This design will work with ABS, PLA, PETG, or any other material you happen to have. The holes in the base accommodate 1-inch (25mm) or so pieces of filament, with one over the USB slot being slightly shorter. Remember that the USB slot is at the rear! I suggest pressing filament into the holes and then trimming it so only a millimeter (1/16 - 1/8 inch) or so protrudes. It can't be longer, as it will stick up into the center of the ring and prevent the dot from easily centering in the holding ring. The base has a slot that should be at the rear, where the USB cable exits the model. Route the USB cable through the base, then plug it into the Dot after it's been inserted into the head ring. Firmly seat it, then settle the base to the ring and there should be enough room to angle the USB cable out of the slot. That's it! Enjoy your new decoration.
