Alexa and Sinclair-10's Musical Instrument Toys

Alexa searched for downloadable toys to entertain her and her brothers. She decided to create various musical instruments so they could form a band together. The plans included a rubber band guitar, a percussive shaker, a "woodpecker" knocker, and an ocarina. Instructions To build the ocarina, use the file labeled ocarina_side_split. Clean the hollows thoroughly from the main body and mouthpiece. Then, glue the two halves together to seal them. There is also an alternative file for the ocarina with a split through its center (ocarina_split_face) if you prefer that design. If your printer can print objects without support, feel free to contact me for the file of the ocarina without splits. Online resources are available to teach how to play an ocarina, such as http://www.ocarina.co.uk/how-to-play-ocarinas/. For the rubber band guitar (files rubberbandguitar and pegs_to_print), grow the pegs separately from the main body. Remove all support material from each part. Cut four rubber bands into non-looped sections. Tie a knot at one end of each band and insert the knotted end into the keyhole on the taller edge of the main piece. Place the other end of each band into the holes on the shorter platform. Insert the pegs into their respective holes, ensuring the round edges face inward. Rotate the pegs down to flatten them with the platform, then secure the rubber bands in place. To tune the guitar, lift each peg individually and pull the rubberband tighter before pushing it back down to set. For the shaker instrument (shaker_pyramid), grow the piece as a hollow shell and pause the printer to fill it with rice or a similar material before completing the top layer. For the striped design shown in the book, use 30% for each color and 5% for black stripes. There is also an egg-shaped option using the shaker_egg file, which will wobble slightly when placed on a surface and nudged. The pattern used 414 layers. Load purple at layer 124, pause and then load black at layer 145. Continue with blue at layer 269, pause again at layer 291, fill with rice, and finally load orange to complete the design.
