I built an Echo Dot/speaker enclosure that's shaped like a Death Star. It fits two 2-inch speakers snugly inside. I chose a cheap Amazon Basics computer speaker kit for the job, and it was a great value - just $11-14 depending on the day, plus all the necessary cords and circuitry came with it.
