Alessi Firebird stove lighter

I have made this for school. The goal was to make this model fit the real one as good as possible. We had a laser 3d-scanner at our disposal, we just did not have the know-how to use the resulting polygon mesh. I made this one using photos. Of course, the designer of the product is Alessi, not me. I have included a few polygon meshes, so you may try it for yourselves to make them help you make this model. I would love to hear what you did to succeed!
