Alesis Nitro Mesh - Replacement Rim
prusaprinters

I have had the Alesis Nitro Mesh kit for a few years now, and I absolutely love them...with one exclusion:

The rims are way too high

Now keep in mind I am not a drummer by trade, and I have the kit just for kicks-n-giggles. But I find myself hitting the rims way more frequently than I want to. I've seen other pads that have much shorter rims , or barely no rim at all, and that appealed to me.

The replacement rims are in 2 parts. The main part (Base) is printed in ABS or PLA with a fairly rigid infill of 75% or greater. The top part should be printed in a TPU that matches the hardness you are looking for. I went with 100% infill with the 1 style of TPU I had on-hand, which is a bit more firm than I wanted it to be, but it still gets the job done.

The base should be printed upside down to avoid the need for supports.

This is a remix based on the work of jamangic1 on thingiverse. Their original thing can be found here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4715031
