Aleph
thingiverse
The initial Hebrew alphabet character, Aleph, resembles an engraved rock design. The letter's digital rendering was created using ZBrush software. An update notifies that the object is now available for purchase from Shapeways on this link http://shpws.me/nJtz in multiple materials. A request from the creator's rabbi wife led to printing an oversized version, almost 6 inches tall, by scaling the STL file before printing. The printing process utilized ReplicatorG software, a MakerBot Replicator2 printer with default settings, and specifications such as infill at 10%, layer height of 0.200, one shell, feedrate of 40, travel feed of 55, and temperature of 220°C. A raft with full support was employed during printing, completing the 44mm-high model in 1 hour and 14 minutes while using 11 grams of white ProtoParadigm PLA material.
