The sculpture originated from a monumental tombstone of the Gliwice industrialist Wilhelm Hegenscheidt (1823-1891), owner of wire and nail manufacturing plants along the Kłodnicki Canal - part of today's Stanisław Dubois Street. The bronze sculpture depicts a woman, either Moira Klotho or an allegory of Industry, is now located in Gliwice's Industrial Park on Robotnicza Street 2.
