My version of some of the parts for the pitcheron control Aldi/LIDL V2 foam glidershttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wV_AQyFsr84This set replaces the centre 80mm of the wing, creating the wing mount, control pivot Centre sections are designed to take the MG90S metal gear servos.Wing plates have had the servo control slot to suit DU-BRO E/Z Connectors:https://www.dubro.com/collections/e-z-connectors/products/e-z-connector4mm solid carbon rods:1 x 275mm for pivot/spar2 x 75mm for centre joiners (these can be made shorter of you choose to glue the centre halves together)Assembly Instructions:Mount servos into 2 centre halves. Make sure the servos are centred and the servo arms are pointing directly forward.Cut 2 short carbon rods to length and slide two centre halves together (DO NOT GLUE)Position centre assembly on top of wing and cut at ends of printed centre sectionPut un-used centre section in the spare parts bin for your next projectPress the 2 wing tubes onto the raised blocks on outside of the wing plates. Fix with a couple of drops of CA making sure they are at 90°Align the wing plates with the end of the wing panels and make out the groove for the wing tubes. (Note: The Dihedral wing tubes have the wider end joined to the wing plate)Cut the wing grooves so the wing tubes sit flush with the bottom of the wing.Fit the hook and loop into the side plates with the rubber band connection on the flat side of the plate. Fix with a couple of drops of CA.Press the wing plate into the end of the wing panel and dig out the area behind the hook and look, as well as the servo actuator slot.Use UHU POR or UHU Expanded Polystyrene Clear to glue the wing tube assemblies into each wing panel.Tie a rubber band (approximately 40mm dia. x 3mm wide) onto the loop and add a length of string to allow pulling through and connecting to the hook.Cut the long carbon rod to length.Once a channel is opened between the wing slot and the under-canopy section, slide the 2 centre halves in from each side making sure the servo leads go forward and do not get pinched. The centre sections are NOT glued to each other, but the carbon rods need to stopped from sliding out. I usually put a drop of CA on opposite ends of each rod so the 2 halves can be still slid apart.Apply a small bead of UHU POR or UHU Expanded Polystyrene Clear around the join between the printed centre section and the foam wing slot. This can easily be cut should you want to remove the printed parts and re-use in another fuselage.Program your transmitter for Elevons and set the end points so the hook and look don't clash with the through holes in the centre section.NOTE: Up Elevator is when the LEADING EDGE of the wings moves UP. LEFT Roll is when the left leading edge goes DOWN, and the RIGHT leading edge goes UP.AldiCentreLeft:0.12 layer height2 bottom and 2 top layers2 wall line thickness5% line infill and [45,135] directionSupports everywhereMirror in slicer for Centre RightAldiWingLeftV2:0.12 layer height2 bottom and 2 top layers.2 wall line thickness100% infillMirror in slicer for Wing RightAldiWingTubeLeftFlatUS and AldiWingTubeLeftDihedral:0.12 layer height2 bottom and 2 top layers.2 wall line thickness5% line infill and [45,135] directionSupports everywherePrint with side face downMirror in slicer for Wing RightAldiWingTubeLeftFlatUS makes the underside of the wing flatAldiWingTubeLeftDihedral gives dihedral to the underside giving an approximately flat upper surface.Hole and Hook:For strength, lay on side so the hook is in the XY plane0.12 layer height2 bottom and 2 top layers2 wall line thickness100% infillPrint on raftUPDATE AldiWingLeftV2 has been uploaded with a longer actuator slot allowing the servo to be mounted with the arm facing forward. This gives a more accurate movement of the wing relative to servo rotation.
