My best buddy Gary is a cat, and she eats Aldi brand cat food exclusively. To make life easier for her, I created this easy-reach cat food holder that's specifically designed to meet her needs. It features an inspiring quote from Gary herself: "Put the food in the place". This clever design solves two significant problems for me: 1) It has a built-in extension-handle that allows me to place her food on the floor or pick up her empties without having to stoop down. As someone who's tall and getting older, I've had my fair share of injuries from playing in the streets as a kid. Squatting down is one of my least favorite activities, so this feature eliminates that hassle. 2) It keeps the odd-shaped food container from sliding around on the kitchen floor, which often resulted in her food getting stuck under a cabinet or appliance where neither Gary nor I could easily reach it. We would both get annoyed when this happened. If you choose to use the extension-handle (an optional feature), you'll need a length of 5mm rod made of suitable material and some glue to secure it in place. The base has recesses for adding rubber feet if that's something you'd like to do, making it easy to move the holder around without scratching your floors.
