Aldi Bikemate Bicycle Repair Stand Replacement Leg Bracket

Aldi Bikemate Bicycle Repair Stand Replacement Leg Bracket

thingiverse

I designed a replacement bracket for my Aldi Bikemate Bicycle Repair Stand. It is engineered to be significantly stronger than the original bracket. The design is relatively simple, featuring a rectangular base, two 90-degree brackets with an 8mm hole, and a recess in the base to clear the corner of the leg across the [0°, 90°] range of angles. Additionally, it includes an 8mm hole on the base for securing it to the floor using pegs or bolts. To achieve optimal results, I recommend printing with 100% infill and/or 5 shells. This project is also available on my GitHub page: https://github.com/bertrand-caron/scad_projects/blob/master/bicycle_stand_leg.scad. Note that the .scad file contains a model of the stand leg, which is currently commented out. If you plan to modify the dimensions, ensure your part can clear the leg in various angles (0°, 90°, etc.) as it may encounter them.
