I made this thing because I have other applications for affordable 20V batteries, such as an old vacuum cleaner or drills. I created two versions - the tabs are designed to help with attachment, but the base can be superglued pretty easily without tabs also. The gcode files are set up to produce workable prints. I had some trouble with plate adhesion and used a glue stick to improve this. If you want to edit the files, the end dimensions excluding raft should be: 21.00mm x 66.40mm x 90.20mm (without tabs) or 21.00mm x 66.40mm x 120.20mm (with tabs). The prints use approximately 35-40g (11-13m) of PLA. Peel off the raft and cut off red support parts shown in png files. Most of the cylindrical bits can be snapped off by hand, but may need to be cut with a sharp craft knife. Post print materials include 12 AWG figure 8 wire (0.5 metres), 5mm heatshrink (0.1 metres), 10mm heatshrink (0.1 metres), 2x 6.3mm wide male spade connector, hot glue. Tools required include a crimping tool or pliers, wire stripper, hot glue gun, scissors, heat gun or cigarette lighter for heatshrink. Cut the 12 AWG wire to length and pull black and red wires about 5 centimetres apart. Strip 12 AWG wire about 5mm from the end to fit spade connector. Cut two 3cm lengths of 5mm heatshrink and thread onto each wire. Crimp spade connectors onto 12 AWG wire. Move heatshrink so that it covers the narrow half of the spade connector and melt it into place. Firmly insert spade connectors into holes in 3D print corresponding to + and -. Hot glue into cavity to cover the wires and pot them in place. Cut a 5cm length of 10mm heatshrink and thread over exposed part of 12 AWG wire outside model. Melt the 10mm heatshrink in place. Connect other end of wire as required.
