Alcan window latch
thingiverse
I accidentally broke a side latch on my kitchen window while swapping out the spiral balances. This is an exact replica of the LEFT HAND latch. If you need the right hand latch, simply duplicate the part while cutting.\nI hope this tutorial proves useful to anyone with these older Alcan aluminum windows in their home. If you use it, please share your experience by posting a "make" or comment. Feedback is always welcome.\nBe careful when removing the old part from the window, as there's a spring involved.\nPrint Settings\nPrinter: \n Da Vinci 1.0A (Repetier)\n \n Rafts: \n Doesn't Matter\n \n Supports: \n Yes\n \n Resolution: \n 0.2\n \n Infill: \n 50%\n \n Notes: \n Print with 3 perimeters for added strength. (in Slic3r, 3 top & bottom layers, 3 perimeters)\nThis model was designed to be printed in ABS for maximum durability. PLA may not be strong enough; results may vary.\nSupports are required.\nPost-Printing\nThe only post-printing work should be removing the support material. This can be a bit of a hassle due to the underside detail, but it's Print'n'Play overall!\nHow I Designed This\nOriginal part + digital calipers + Tinkercad\nEdit it online https://www.tinkercad.com/things/fohxd4R3cYE
