Albert Einstein Bust 3D Scan

Albert Einstein Bust 3D Scan

thingiverse

To make a replica of Albert Einstein's 1930 Artur Loewenthal bronze bust, scanned in 2013, I first made the 3D model the same size (34 cm) as the original and fixed minor issues. To save time and material, I made the scan hollow and cut it into nine parts. After printing, I glued the pieces together and added weight with gypsum plaster. The final touch was coating the model in copper, gold, silver, and flat black to resemble bronze.
