Albert Einstein Bust 3D Scan
cults3d
This is a 3D scan of a bust of Albert Einstein from the Usher Gallery and The Collection in Lincoln, UK. The bronze bust was created by Artur Loewenthal in 1930 and scanned in 3D by Oliver Laric in 2013. I wanted to replicate the size of the original bronze bust exactly (34 cm high). I also corrected some minor problems. I decided to make the scan hollow and divide it into sections to conserve materials and time. I filled the printed halves with gypsum to add weight. The original file is available at: http://lincoln3dscans.co.uk/lowenthal-bust-one/ http://www.3dwp.nl Additional information can be found here: http://lincoln3dscans.co.uk/info/ http://owlsarenotwhattheyseem.wordpress.com/2012/08/20/artists-caught-on-a-cameras-canvas/
