Albert Bridge is a vital road connection spanning the Tideway of the River Thames in London. This bridge links Chelsea in Central London's north side to Battersea in South/South-West London, forming a crucial pathway between two bustling areas. Initially designed and built by Rowland Mason Ordish in 1873 as an innovative Ordish–Lefeuvre system modified cable-stayed bridge, it was later found to be structurally flawed. Consequently, Sir Joseph Bazalgette was tasked with revamping the design between 1884 and 1887, incorporating elements of a suspension bridge to enhance its stability and integrity.
