Using an Epilog Mini 24 laser cutter, a detailed map of Alaska is precision-engraved. Materials Utilized: Epilog Mini 24 Laser Cutter Cermark - A specially designed material that bonds with metal to create durable black marks. Initially, Molly was tried as a cost-effective alternative, but it failed to adhere to the galvanized steel surface. Galvanized Steel Plate: Acquired from the roofing section at Home Depot, measuring 12" x 8", for approximately $1.00. Custom Solutions: To prevent warping of the metal due to excessive heat, thin ice packs were strategically taped to the back of the material during the laser engraving process. These temperature-regulating ice packs effectively maintained a stable environment, ensuring precise results. Optimized Laser Settings: 60% power output and 70% speed settings were employed for the engraving process, utilizing the "Engrave All" feature for comprehensive precision.
