sketchfab
Al-Thuqaibah is a sprawling Iron Age II settlement that flourished from 1000 to 600 BCE, strategically situated south of Dhaid at the southernmost tip of Al Madam oasis, smack in the heart of Sharjah Emirate's central region within the United Arab Emirates. For the past three decades, archaeological expeditions hailing from Sharjah, France, and Spain have been meticulously excavating this ancient site, unearthing a plethora of mud-brick houses, lush gardens, and concrete evidence of sophisticated mud-brick manufacturing techniques. In the murky depths of small basins, hundreds of remarkably preserved footprints remain frozen in time. The Ghadah Development House (GDH) has recently completed an exhaustive high-resolution scanning project and photogrammetry endeavor to meticulously document these basins and their intricately preserved features within them. One such basin, aptly labeled as number 56, has been painstakingly processed using Reality Capture software from a staggering 351 distinct images.
