Al-Thuqaibah - Basin 44

Human: Al-Thuqaibah spans 1000 to 600 BCE, an Iron Age II settlement. Situated south of Dhaid, it occupies the southern end of the Al Madam oasis in central Sharjah Emirate, United Arab Emirates. For three decades, archaeological teams from Sharjah, France, and Spain have been investigating, uncovering mud-brick houses, gardens, and evidence of mud-brick production. Hundreds of preserved footprints are found at the bottom of small basins filled with mud. GDH has completed high-resolution scanning and photogrammetry to document these basins and their features. Basin 44 is processed in Reality Capture from 277 images.
