Al-Thuqaibah - Basin 43
sketchfab
Al-Thuqaibah spans 1000 to 600 BCE as an Iron Age II settlement, situated south of Dhaid at the southern end of Al Madam oasis in central Sharjah Emirate, United Arab Emirates. For the past three decades, archaeological teams from Sharjah, France, and Spain have extensively investigated this site, unearthing mud-brick houses, gardens, and compelling evidence of ancient mud-brick manufacturing techniques. Hundreds of preserved footprints remain intact at the bottom of small basins, where they were once embedded in the surrounding mud. In a groundbreaking effort to document these basins and their contents, GDH employed high-resolution scanning and photogrammetry methods to capture every detail within them. This particular basin 43 has been meticulously processed using Reality Capture from an astonishing 611 images.
