Al-Thuqaibah, a thriving Iron Age II settlement, thrived from 1000 to 600 BCE. Situated south of Dhaid, it occupies the southern end of Al Madam oasis in central Sharjah Emirate, United Arab Emirates. Over three decades, archaeological teams from Sharjah, France, and Spain have thoroughly investigated the site, unearthing evidence of mud-brick houses, lush gardens, and the processes involved in mud-brick manufacture. Hundreds of preserved footprints remain at the bottom of small basins, a testament to the lives of ancient residents. GDH has undertaken high-resolution scanning and photogrammetry to meticulously document the basins and their features, revealing a detailed picture of this ancient community. This is basin 40, carefully processed in Reality Capture from 332 precise images.
