Al-Thuqaibah spans Iron Age II, stretching from 1000 BCE down to 600 BCE. Situated south of Dhaid, it occupies the southern tip of Al Madam oasis within central Sharjah Emirate, United Arab Emirates. Archaeological teams from Sharjah, France, and Spain have spent the last 30 years digging up Al-Thuqaibah's secrets, unearthing mud-brick houses, gardens, and proof of ancient mud-brick making techniques. Deep in small basins, hundreds of footprints remain preserved beneath layers of mud. Archaeologists at GDH used high-resolution scanning and photogrammetry to capture the basins and their features on camera. This is basin 33's Reality Capture from a staggering 473 images.
