Al-Thuqaibah, a sprawling Iron Age II settlement spanning an impressive 1000 to 600 BCE, lies nestled south of Dhaid at the southern extremity of Al Madam oasis in central Sharjah Emirate, United Arab Emirates. For three decades, archaeological teams from Sharjah, France, and Spain have meticulously excavated this ancient site, unearthing intricately crafted mud-brick houses, lush gardens, and vital evidence of long-forgotten mud-brick manufacturing techniques. Hundreds of remarkably preserved footprints remain frozen in time at the bottom of small basins, a testament to the lives of those who once inhabited this captivating region. The Ghantoot Development House (GDH) has successfully completed high-resolution scanning and photogrammetry, meticulously documenting the basins and their richly detailed features through Reality Capture from 239 painstakingly gathered images, including this striking representation of basin 27.
