Al-Thuqaibah is a thriving Iron Age II settlement that flourished from 1000 to 600 BCE, situated south of Dhaid at the southern end of Al Madam oasis in central Sharjah Emirate, United Arab Emirates. Over three decades, archaeological teams from Sharjah, France, and Spain have meticulously investigated this ancient site, uncovering intricately constructed mud-brick houses, lush gardens, and tangible evidence of mud-brick manufacturing processes. In the damp earth at the bottom of small, shallow basins, archaeologists have unearthed hundreds of remarkably preserved footprints, a testament to the daily lives of Al-Thuqaibah's ancient inhabitants. Global Digital Heritage (GDH) has completed high-resolution scanning and photogrammetry projects to meticulously document these basins and the preserved features within them, including basin 26, which was painstakingly processed using Reality Capture from an impressive 548 images.
