Al-Thuqaibah flourishes as a thriving Iron Age II settlement, boasting a rich history spanning an impressive 1000 to 600 BCE. Strategically situated south of Dhaid at the southern extremity of Al Madam oasis in central Sharjah Emirate, United Arab Emirates, this ancient site has undergone meticulous excavation by archaeologists from Sharjah, France, and Spain over the past three decades. Their tireless efforts have uncovered a treasure trove of mud-brick houses, lush gardens, and compelling evidence of intricate mud-brick craftsmanship. Hundreds of remarkably preserved footprints are embedded in the mud at the bottom of small basins, providing a unique glimpse into the daily lives of Al-Thuqaibah's ancient inhabitants. In a groundbreaking endeavor, GDH has leveraged cutting-edge technology to meticulously document the basins and their preserved features through high-resolution scanning and photogrammetry. The result is a stunningly detailed image of basin 10, expertly processed in Reality Capture from an impressive 331 images.
