The "AL-EX" frame is a straightforward and budget-friendly mainframe for the Prusa i3. Constructed from Aluminum Extrusions, this frame boasts superior stability compared to wooden or most acrylic frames. The frame maintains the same dimensions as the Prusa i3, making it compatible with all common i3 versions. To assemble this frame, you will need: 2 pieces of I-type slot 5, measuring 20x40 mm, at least 370 mm long 1 piece of I-type slot 5, measuring 20x20 mm, 260 mm in length 1 piece of I-type slot 5, measuring 20x10 mm, also 260 mm The frame can be secured with 18 M4 or M5x8 screws and suitable t-nuts. For attaching accessories, use M3 or M4x10 screws.
