prusaprinters

Akisbot is the Akismet mascot; he was originally designed by Dan Hauk, but I'm responsible for the 3D version.

I designed the entire thing in OpenSCAD; the Akisbot.scad script has all of the modules necessary to build the robot; the printed Akisbot in the pictures was printed at 40% scale.

Instructions

Print one of each STL, plus an additional antenna, bicep, forearm, eyeball, eye ring, tread brace, tread crawler, and three tread wheels. Assemble, glue, and enjoy.

The tread crawlers should be printed with the "Only print perimeters" setting to get the flexible tread that will fit over the wheels.

You may need to play around with sizing of the joints in order to get them to fit properly, depending on your specific printer.
Category: Model Robots
