A spool cradle and holder designed for Mendel-style printers and Ultimachine filament spools is available, created as an alternative to models that bear against the outer edge of a spool. The cradle accommodates Ultimachine spools, though adjustments may be necessary for spools with different widths or hole sizes. Vitamins required include M8 nuts and threaded rods, M4 bolts and nylock nuts, as well as 624zz roller bearings. Assembly instructions involve printing two sets of cradle parts and attaching the bearings with M4 x 25 bolts. The frame should have a 90mm distance between inner faces of vertices, with adjustments made for varying spool sizes.
