Akantor - Monster Hunter
thingiverse
Beware of this fearsome beast, behold the Akantor! This model has finally arrived after a long wait. I sourced the original concept from https://www.deviantart.com/rough-chrysalis/art/Akantor-719624774, but it was never designed for 3D printing. After creating several poses and making sure the model is watertight, I increased the poly count to give it a smoother appearance and reduced its blockiness. To make it easier to print and fit on a standard 220x220mm printbed, I divided the model into sections. Each part has been scaled for use in Dungeons & Dragons campaigns. You'll find holes strategically placed for alignment pins, making assembly much simpler. The holes are precisely 5mm in diameter, allowing you to use a 1/4-inch drill bit to remove any internal supports. Please note that the alignment pin model is an exact fit, so you may need to scale it down to accommodate your printer's accuracy. To offer more printing options, I've combined the head and tail pieces into single models. You'll also find whole models available in both high-poly count and low-poly count versions, as well as multiple poses. I hope you all enjoy this creation!
