This jig is specifically designed for drilling the rear trunnion holes on an AK74 receiver bent blank, ensuring precision and accuracy in the process. The threaded holes are meant to accommodate the stock screws that should have been included with your parts kit, providing a secure fit. To begin, place your rear trunnion on the jig and tighten it firmly in place. Once secured, position the lower jig portion in a vise, ensuring the trunnion holes align perfectly with your drill bit in the drill press. Secure the drill vise and table to prevent any movement during drilling. Next, carefully slide the receiver over the trunnion, holding it steady with a C-clamp or similar device. With the receiver securely in place, you can proceed to drill through it, creating space for riveting the trunnion directly onto the receiver.
