AK74 and AKM Rear Trunnion Jig

thingiverse

This is a jig specifically designed for drilling the rear trunnion holes on an AK74 or AKM receiver bent blank. The holes are threaded to accommodate the stock screws that should have been included in your parts kit. Place your rear trunnion on the jig and secure it with screws. Once it's firmly attached, clamp the lower jig portion in a vise so that the trunnion holes are perpendicular to your drill bit in the drill press. Align the jig so that the trunnion holes are aligned with your drill bit, secure your drill vise and drill press table, then slide the receiver over the trunnion and clamp it with a C-clamp or similar device. Drill through the receiver, allowing you to rivet the trunnion to it later. Printer Settings: Brand: SeeMeCNC Printer: Rostock MAX Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2mm Infill: 30% Notes: I used Inland Blue PLA at 195°C with a 60°C bed.
