AK Rifle Stand

This design draws inspiration from Defense Distributed's AK magazine, specifically using their locking lug measurements as a starting point. By leveraging Fusion360, I was able to create this two-part display stand myself. The base inserts into the body with ease, and my printers assemble the parts firmly yet still allow for quick disassembly and reassembly. However, results may vary greatly, so be cautious. This version requires custom fitting of the rear locking lug, ensuring a snugger fit but also acknowledging the high variance among AK rifles. Rather than striving for perfection, I've opted to include a modifiable file for those who wish to fine-tune the design in Fusion360. Printing with both PLA and PETG yields excellent results. If using Cura, consider utilizing the custom supports addon, placing supports under the rear locking lug. The tapered front section doesn't require supports, even at 0.32 layer height with PETG, according to my experience. Four wall lines produce a robust and rigid body in both materials. To achieve optimal results, print the body with lugs on the bottom and closest to the print bed. This minimizes support material needed for the rear lug and typically yields better outcomes. Due to the nature of AK magazines, horizontal printing may not be feasible. The base or bottom should have its flat side facing down towards the bed, requiring supports below the protruding section.
