AJS/MAtchless single engine timing disc and support

thingiverse

Combines a timing disc holder with a bracket to secure a pointer on the engine, facilitating the setting of ignition timing and valve timing on later single engines equipped with an alternator. This includes PDF and SVG files for printing the timing disc onto cardstock for 1964-66 short-stroke singles. A template is provided in the file for marking any desired timing degree. The bracket supports a slider that holds a pointer, which is mounted on an 8mm screw allowing for precise micro-adjustment of the pointer's position. 2.8mm holes are drilled into the disc support, accommodating 3mm screws to secure the card disc; however, this has been found unnecessary in practice. A photograph showcases the bracket and disc in place on the engine's left side, with the pointer bracket screwed into the inner primary timing case and the disc held by the disc support on the end of the rotor. This tool is designed to be useful for those who need it.
