AJA Hi5 Mounting Bracket

This is a custom mounting bracket I created for our AJA HI5 SDI-to-HDMI devices installed behind our television studio sets. The design would also work for the HA5 (HDMI to SDI) and other miniconverters from AJA with this size, as long as their holes are spaced similarly to ours. The attachment screws that come with the device are 4-40, but I would not recommend using anything longer than 3/8 inches - I had some 1/2 inch screws lying around and think I may have damaged one of them because it didn't tighten all the way. The top attachment holes on the bracket are sized for a #8 wood screw, but I also used metal self-tapping screws with good results. Adding a few extra perimeters to the holes might make them suitable for use with these screws.
