Aitruder v3 - Bowden extruder
thingiverse
This is the beta version of my 1,75mm bowden extruder. I have successfully printed Ninjaflex material at 30mm/s with a bowden length of about 0,5m in a horizontal setup using an E3Dv6 - 0.3mm hotend. For hints on printing TPE, check out the instructions site. General: - The mainbody is designed to fit a MK8 drive gear from reprap.me. I have not tested it with any other drive gear or setup. - Mounting holes: 4,5mm (spacing: 60mm) - Please keep in mind that this is still a beta version. IMPORTANT: - You need a metal, drilled through, 1/8 BSP pushfit. Otherwise it won't work. I plan to upload a version for the e3d plastic push fits as soon as possible. - The mainbody is designed to fit the reprap.me MK8 drive gear with an effective diameter of 6,7mm. Many MK8 drive gears claim to have 7mm, but I don't know if they work well. - The nominal diameter for the pushfit bore is 9,2mm and for the MR105 bearing used is 10,1mm. If you encounter trouble with cracking the body or anything else, please let me know. Known / possible issues: - Overtightening: Don't overtighten the lever, or you'll flatten the filament and it will get stuck. - On filament change, sometimes there's a little drip of extra filament from the hot end that's carried back through the ptfe tube to the extruder. This may cause some problems in pulling the filament out of the extruder. In version 3.1 I've changed the roundings and chamfers a bit to avoid this, but it needs further testing.
