Airtight Spool System
thingiverse
No-nonsense airtight spool holder system. Print a gasket with flexible filament like TPU. 3D prints are not airtight by default. Follow this guide to properly slice and make this print airtight: https://www.instructables.com/id/3D-Printing-Make-Water-Tight-and-Air-Tight-Contain/ Pro tip: Try it on a small container and test it for air/water tightness before printing this. You'll need an M8 nut and bolt for the hinge and an M15 nut and bolt for locking it shut. No need to buy them, just print them with PETG; see https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:193647. It has plenty of space for the desiccant at the bottom, you can add a roller system spool holder or pipe holder style spool holder in this dry box. Print with a big nozzle for faster printing, there are no small details in this design. Print with the hollow side facing up. Use support; it's needed for the nut lock area. If you've got any ideas, please comment! If the print doesn't fit your bed, try the "Small Print Volume.zip" file. You'll need to glue the 2 halves together. If you use ABS - try Acetone solvent bonding or if you use PLA - try super glue.
