Airtight Filament Container
thingiverse
Parts for adapting an airtight storage container for holding filament while printing are needed. This part only works with narrower spools, like those used by NinjaFlex, Filamentum, Colorfabb, or Up!. A purchase was made hoping it would work with larger spools but it's slightly too small for most 1kg spools. A spool roller inspired by the TUSH spool holder is used. It prints in one piece and is sized for the mentioned spools. Bearings are inserted from the bottom and should snap into place. Alternatively, a favorite sit-on-top style spool holder can be used. The tube cap is optional; it's for terminating the open PTFE tube when not in use. A hole needs to be drilled through the lid of the container to install the bowden adapter. If unsure if the used spools will fit, the table of filament spool dimensions encountered may help.
