Adapter for hi-cap M4 magazines on VSR-10/BAR-10 airsoft sniper rifles features a lower profile and improved hand placement by holding the magazine at an angle. If you're familiar with 3D printing, you can probably print the entire adapter as one unit except for the mag release button. I included the full STL file to make it easier to work with. From the photos, you can see that I made several mistakes when printing mine in sections, but it still works after minimal sanding. To ensure proper alignment, I drilled a hole through the feed tube on parts 1 and 2 before gluing them together. To save time and plastic, use thicker walls, higher fill density, and finer precision on critical parts, then make the rest thinner and rougher. You can even print only parts 1 and 2 to test the adapter's functionality before printing the rest. The adapter can be held like a normal magazine, but two additional holes line up with the stock bolts to distribute stress evenly. My front bolt was long enough, but I had to borrow a rear bolt from an M24 for the other setup. This mod idea came about when I was sleep-deprived and messing with my CQB sniper, a Chinese off-brand VSR-10 that someone oversprayed with paint. When I was more awake, I revised some measurements so it also fits my standard BAR-10. One potential improvement would be to rotate the M4 magazine more level with the sniper stock and bring it closer together. However, reviewing my old design files is a challenge due to the hasty measurements made while barely conscious. If only I still had access to SolidWorks. The only way it's worth refining this design is if someone were willing to compensate me for my time. If you'd like to support my creative endeavors, please feel free to leave a tip. It would really help me feel better about wasting so much filament on airsoft parts.
