Airsoft P90 Mag Holder Keymod
thingiverse
This is a P90 mag carrying solution. It consists of two main parts: a Key and the Holder. The holder is made to fit a 38mm wide belt, and has a 15 degree inclination. The key is to be fixed to each magazine on the side with the recess, using double sided tape and some tape around it. There's two versions of the key. One for quick and easy printing (to adjust your tolerances to the mag holder), and another that has some support in the rear so you can tape it to the mag on that side as well. I recommend you experiment printing keys with different offsets to find the best balance between retention and ease of insert/retrieval. I've also included a shim to help secure the mag holder to the belt. You can resize it in Z as necessary. There's also a hole in the mag holder in case you want to fit a small screw or pin to lock its position on the belt. You can print the quick test key and the mag holder without supports. I recommend PETG for this, at least for the key, as PLA will likely snap. The step files are also included, in case you wish to make changes. I've field tested this, and here's my findings: I thought double sided tape would have been enough, but it started peeling off, so I reinforced it on the field with electrical tape. This worked perfectly. Indexing and retrieving the magazines needs some practice, since you can't see the hole, so give yourself a few minutes of training before you try to do this in game. I experimented with a few different offsets for printing the key (horizontal expansion in Cura), in order to find a good balance of retention and retrieval/indexing. I run a lot, and had no issues with the mags jumping out. I run 4 mags, 1 in the P90, 2 on my left hip, and 1 on my right hip. If you have good shoulder mobility and a larger waist, you should have no problem running 3 mags on one side, without them impeding your crouching (by hitting your ribs) or sidestepping/leaning (by hitting your thighs). EDIT: Turns out the step files are not uploading. Message me if you need them and I'll send them to you.
