I had a stash of tacticool guns with 3 lug mounts that I used to try making a replacement for someone's airsoft MP5. The original fell off in the grass due to lousy adhesive and/or subpar quality control. Developing the [3 lug installation knob/tool](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1733574) required a more accurate model of a 3 lug. I took the one I had on hand with some calipers, and some drawings for precision (mainly using the first image) found on Google, and voila! The result is a top-notch airsoft accessory that can also serve as an exact base for firearm accessory modeling efforts. However, until DMLS becomes more affordable, you'll need a lathe and a mill. Ugly attempt at a 3 lug -> printed out rendering for 3 lug knob -> final production quality airsoft product 3D printing rules! I included the drawings named '.jp', because if named '.jpg', Thingiverse treats them as jpg images and downscales them so you can't read the dimensions.
