Airsoft GBB Magazine Dry Fire Adapter
thingiverse
This piece is designed to keep your magazine follower steady, enabling you to fire a gas-blowback pistol (or rifle) with gas but without BBs. It's perfect for training or having fun without damaging walls. The design has been updated since Thingiverse removed my original file (you can find the reasoning below). This new version stays securely on the follower because I understand most double-stack followers tilt in one direction. The main image comes from SirLanceOlong's adaptation of my initial file, but he is no longer registered on Thingiverse so I cannot confirm whether it's okay to use his picture. Thingiverse removed this thing due to a claim of copyright infringement by Glock. However, Glock doesn't make airsoft parts and certainly not one like this magazine follower stop. It is indeed my design and I suspect that an unkind third party initiated the complaint. At least four other users were affected too and none appear to have violated any product that Glock makes. Thingiverse and Makerbot still haven't replied to my emails, even a couple of months ago (2 weeks since I sent them) so I'm uploading this thing again for everyone. This small piece is quick to print and really useful. I printed the black model in the picture at 0.05mm layer height with no supports, because most slicers give it 100% infill due to its size. It helps if you use glue and lower your bed temperature to prevent warping of tiny details.
