Just a very simple model: The latch holding the stock of my venerable grizzled “used-to-be CYMA” AKS-74U in folded position broke… again. Considering the zinc stuff its made of, no surprise other than it actually survived that long, I already replaced it like 5 years ago . But this time i didn't have another wrecked AK to salvage - However, I have a 3d printer now. I tried to keep the dimensions as close to the original as i could, I only did the thickened end just on one side for easier printing. Use 100% infill and the strongest fillament you have - mine's from Prusament PC Carbon. The hole might need to be slightly loosened with a 4mm drill bit, depending on the material, printer setting and mainly the original pin. To mount it, remove the lower handguard, take a good look how the spring is wrapped around the original broken stump you probably have and prepare a hooked tool (a piece of thicker wire with a bent end at least) to release the lower leg of the spring that fixes the pin in position. I also included slightly longer version, usefull for stocks with added padding, battery pouches and other stuff - and you can mod it further in Fusion or Inventor, if you need.
