WORK IN PROGRESS // NOT DONE YET TO DO -TDC Hop Up Mod - In Progress -Front Sight -Rear Sight -Bolt Carrier -Pistol Grip Bottom Plate -Reprofile rear buttstock to hold battery and wiring This is a fully printed airsoft gun that uses off the shelf components in addition to the printed parts. The AK5C is a really cool gun but it's prohibitively expensive and the internals are proprietary. I designed this based off a video game model and spent a lot of time creating solid bodies in F360. The F360 file is uploaded, feel free to update/remix. Parts Required - V3 AK gearbox - AK Hopup Chamber (recommend E&L AK Hopup https://www.airsoftgi.com/product/EL-Airsoft-Version-3-Metal-Hop-Up-Chamber-Black-49822/) - M4 Mag Release Lever & hardware - 16mm OD 13mm ID aluminum tube - https://a.co/d/h0qvZDf - 9mm OD 7mm ID aluminum tube - https://a.co/d/2z1i2WV - Epoxy & Super Glue - MOSFET recommended To Make: - Remove the selector plate from the V3 gearbox - Remove the fire select gears and related components from V3 gearbox - Print all parts, try to align so that shear forces are spread across the aluminum tubes Assembly Steps (test fit everything without glue first) - Add M4 mag release to lower receiver - Glue lower rail to front end - Glue inner barrel bushings (at least 3) into the aluminum tube for the front end - Glue to front end to the aluminum tube, making the tube end and the receiver interface parallel/even - Glue the front gas block, sling mount and muzzle brake to the other aluminum tube, cut to length to fit the front end - Add inner barrel into upper receiver, then bucking, then hopup. Move hopup chamber forward to the receiver face, and pivot the V3 gearbox w/alignment spacer into the upper receiver. - Drop upper receiver into lower receiver - Add pins (Bic pen fits perfectly) - Add rear aluminum tube into buttstock, fitting all the way to the back of the gearbox (trim to length if needed) - Cut 9mm OD tube to a length of ~11mm, test fit into hopup chamber interface and see if a magazine will feed. When length is good, glue in place (remove the rest of the parts, make sure it stays 90*)
