A skilled DIY enthusiast recently designed and fabricated an airsoft AK AEG adapter, tailored for compatibility with M4/M16/AR type magazines commonly found in Automatic Electric Gun systems. The creative individual cleverly utilized 3D printing techniques to create the adapter's components upside down, necessitating strategic placement of support structures throughout the print job. Noticing room for improvement, the designer took the initiative to re-design their initial prototype, resulting in a new two-part version that showcases enhanced functionality and design flexibility. In contrast to its predecessor, this updated adapter features separate parts labeled 'A' and 'B', with part 'A' printed upside down, while part 'B' is orientated on its side and supported accordingly. To achieve optimal performance from this refined design, a small spring obtained from an everyday retractable pen becomes essential for proper functionality.
