Airplane Landing Gear
thingiverse
Hello! I'm excited to share my custom Airplane Landing gear design for my model airplane printed from 3D Lab Print. This landing gear has proven to be incredibly robust and attaches securely to plastic or styrofoam surfaces with ease. The total weight of the landing gear setup can approach a standard 40 grams, depending on the wheels and infill you choose. Wheels used in photo: Light Foam Wheel (Diam: 70mm, Width: 20mm) Recommended Printing Settings: Walls - 1 to 3 layers based on your desired weight requirements Infill - 5% to 10% Fan - Disabled Construction Details: Glue - Hot glue works well with plastic and can be removed moderately by pulling gently Wheels - No axle holes are included in this design, allowing you to drill your own holes for added stability. This will keep the rods from moving around and potentially causing the plane to veer off course. Additionally, I've successfully tested this design with 3dlabprint's Me109 H version and it works seamlessly. Although it's bulkier and heavier than 3dlabprints conversion, it offers a simpler assembly process.
