This gear, some hauled aboard a private plane flown by Alice Brown, would be used to steer while aloft. The two radios, one for air traffic control and the other for the pilot, would make communications between air and ground much easier. Alice Brown made history as the first woman to touch down at the newly built Albert J. Ellis Airport in 1971.
