AirPatrol Entry #2
grabcad
The second design adopts AirPatrol's design language while incorporating elements from Apple and rotary engine Reuleaux Triangle. The case opens using a screwdriver to pry open through the bottom opening. In contrast to the sketches showing a recess at the bottom for sensors and concealed buttons, this feature was removed in the final version due to difficulties in molding and maintaining wall thickness. An optional screw-on back plate is featured in the sketches for a variant with swappable batteries without disassembling the entire device. The part is drafted at a 5-degree angle and almost ready for injection molding.
